How does working with a broker “work”?

Working with a Licensed Broker or Leasing Specialist assist you by being a representative on your side that has the knowledge about the in’s and out’s of the market. A great broker will do all that they can to ensure that you are getting the best value for your needs.

How do you get paid? Do I have to pay you?

Brokers that represent the buyers or renters are almost always paid by the listing agent or owner of the rental or purchase. This allows us to provide you with a service that is at not cost to you. Keep in mind that working with an agent, it is their responsibility to provide you with the best knowledge for your needs.

Do you really know what you are doing?

YES, we have seen a lot of Chicago and the team has lived in many of the areas that you are looking. We pride ourselves in knowing more than just the apartments. We know the major details like dog parks, dining, caffeine, and local bars (not just the chain bars…the local stuff).

What if I need parking?

Parking in Chicago is almost always extra, even if it is “included” in rent…there is a cost associated with the space. Chicago is a very dense city and when it comes to getting dollar for square foot…well, they get it. Some properties in Chicago are now CAR-less meaning that they have chosen to not provide parking.

I want to bring my dog and hear it can be hard; is this true?

Bringing your four legged fur ball can be a task. Chicago managed highrises are really careful about maintaining standards. What they do for one they must do for all. Yes, your dog is great, we know they are a lover not a fighter, and we understand that they wouldn’t bite anybody…BUT, there are going to be breed restrictions. We are here to make sure that we only show you where you can live with “Daisy”.

Holy cow, these prices are way high…what do I do?

Here in Chicago we are one of the top markets in the United States and we are excited to provide an world class experience but, it comes at a cost to you. Maybe where you are moving from you can get 2,100 sq. ft. for $1,000 a month and that is awesome! (sign me up!) Here in Chicago there are many factors that go into your new rent and if you want certain finishes, amenities, or location it will come at a premium. We are here to discuss those options and help you through the fog to find your way.

I am being relocated for work, how can I see what I am getting?
